Advertisements of Vintage Transistors and Diodes
Here are some vintage advertisements of early transistors devices. These advertisements where often spectacular and associated with rocket power and technology. I'm always looking for new advertisements papers to complete my collection, so if you would like to sell or exchange something, please contact me, jan@transparentsound.com.
Brimar leaftelts for the historic TS1, TS2, TS3, TP1, TP2, TJ1, TJ2 and TJ3:
Thanks to Stef Niewiadomski from the UK for his great contribution of the historic Brimar leaflets. These devices are not on the website and very rare, so if anybody will sell or trade them, please contact me, jan@transparentsound.com The TP1 and TP2 are PNP point contact transistors, TP1 for control and switching applications and the TP2 for oscillator circuits up to 2MHz. The TS1, TS2 and TS3 are PNP alloyed junction Transistors for the use in low frequency applications and the TJ1, TJ2 and TJ3 for the use in audio circuits. |

"Power Steering" devices for today's thundering missiles require tiny silicon transistors. Texas Instruments produces over 90% of commercial output of these vital components. Only silicon transistors can survive missile flight conditions: Heat up to nearly twice that of boiling water... severe shock and vibration... extreme restrictions on size, weight, and power-drain to assure maximum payload and distance. |

From Philco Transistor Centre, USA. comes speed far beyond human perception. Philco's new MADT transistors represent a major breakthrough in the electronics switching frequency barrier... switching speeds measured in millimicroseconds (1musec-the time it takes light to go 1 foot ..traveling at 186,000 miles per second!). |

Meet the mighty midgets of modern electronics...new, virtually indestructible surface barrier transistors from Philco Transistor Centre, USA. Here are transistors so reliable that they have amassed tens of millions of transistor service hours in computer circuits at a leading University...transistors so rugged that they have withstood a rocket plunge from 126miles above the earth and continued to operate with original performance characteristics. |
